Trust Account Management:
Acton Commercial is well versed in managing trust accounts on behalf of individual clients with assets having a (total) rental turnover above $500,000.00 per annum.
Our standard practice is to operate two trust accounts for each managed property.
One account records transactions associated with the owner’s nett rental income and associated owner’s expenses.
A second trust account deals only with property expenses reimbursed to owners under the terms of the leases.
This approach ensures that each of these income sources (rental income and property expenses) can be are easily reconciled and verified. Should there be a need to transfer funds from either of the trust accounts these transactions are clearly identifiable.
Owners are provided with monthly transactions statements, quarterly statements to allow Goods & Services Taxation Summaries to be prepared and annual transaction summaries (July to June financial year).
